Happy (almost) Mother's Day! Today we wanted to share a pampering recipe fit for the Queens that our moms are! This facial steam is so easy to do, and it's ah-mazing for your skin- we guarantee you'll want to make it a regular part of your skin care routine!
Benefits of Facial Steaming
When you steam your face, the steam gently opens up and cleans your pores. The dirt, dead skin, and excess sebum are released revealing clearer, softer skin.
It also helps to increase circulation, which means healthier, younger, glowing skin, AND any product you apply after will penetrate your skin more deeply because it can get right into your pores rather than sitting on top of pores clogged with dead skin, etc.
You can use plain water for your facial steam, but by adding essential oils and herbs, you're giving your skin a seriously nutritious and revitalizing treatment.

Facial Steam Recipe
6 drops of geranium
Bring a pot of water to boil. While waiting, collect a heat safe (glass) bowl and a towel large enough to cover your head and shoulders.
Transfer the boiling water to your heat safe bowl and add 1 tablespoon of your botanical mixture. Immediately drape the towel over your head and enjoy 5-10 minutes of steam on your face.
After steaming, gently pat your skin dry and then follow up with your favorite face mask! #bliss
You can use all of the herbs together or customize it for your specific skin type.
Chamomile, rose, and marshmallow leaf are great for mature skin.
Comfrey and calendula are helpful for oily/acne prone skin or those who have damaged skin.
Geranium and lavender are perfect for normal or combination skin.
Happy Mother's Day to all of the amazing moms out there!! Wishing you an indulgent, relaxing, and love-filled day.
